The Minnesota Moose, proud members of the USPHL are excited to announce the signing of 1999 born Forward Simeon Smith from Bellingham, Washington. In the 2015-2016 season with Bellingham Smith led all rookies in scoring posting 68 points with 25 goals and 38 assists. Following his break out season as a 16 year old Smith had a season ending shoulder injury in 2016-2017, ending his season with just 5 games played.

"Smith is a speedy player with a scoring touch that you cannot teach at this level. He has the skill set, speed and grit to really make an impact any given night with the Moose this season. We look forward to working with his development and see where this season can take his hockey career." - Head Coach Jon Jonasson

Smith is a player that unfortunately missed a big year last season with only playing 5 games due to his injury and hopes to rebound this upcoming season, earning some big opportunities with the Minnesota Moose. The Moose have already had the chance to help advance 3 players who have signed with the Moose to the NAHL prior to the start of the season and hope to see players like Simeon get that opportunity during the 2017-2018 inaugural campaign.

As the Moose finalize their roster over the next week they will be announcing the rest of the teams roster through the end of August, building the excitement for a championship run in their inaugural season.

The Minnesota Moose play out of Fogerty Ice Arena in Blaine, MN. One of the top facilities for Junior Hockey in Minnesota. The Moose home opener at Fogerty Ice Arena  will be September 15th vs the Minnesota Mullets out of Forest Lake, MN.
