Moose Sweep the Weekend

The Moose continued the winning ways this past weekend on the road posting victories vs the Steele County Blades in Owatonna, MN 7-0 and the Wisconsin Muskies out of Spooner, WI 4-3. Leading the Moose to both victories was 2000 Washington native goaltender Jacob Fry. Fry now posts a .952% save percentage, 2 shutouts, and a record of 5-0.

 

Friday’s 7-0 win vs the Steele County Blades the Moose saw scoring from 6 different players. Leading the charge was Matteo Menotti a 99’ Forward from the Chicago area with 2 goals and an assist. Menotti recently was advanced to the Johnstown Tomahawks in the NAHL. Also scoring in the contest were Dylan Gast, Jacob Harding, Justin Sullivan, Jesse Anderson and Riley Keays. Picking up assists in the contest were Josh Morrison(2), Dylan Gast (2), Matteo Menotti, Gavin Proeh, Matej Krasny(2), Leon Taberlet, Jesse Anderson and Nate Ackerman. Goaltender Jacob Fry turned aside 22 shots in the game for a shutout.

 

Saturday’s 4-3 win vs the Wisconsin Muskies was a test of discipline for the Moose as they battled a team trying to get out of the basement of the Midwest West division. The Moose escaped unscathed with 2 points. Scoring for the Moose was Gavin Proeh, Brennan Fink, Philip DeSavva with 2 goals. Dishing out assists in the contest were Nate Ackerman (2), Dylan Gast, Leon Taberlet, Gavin Proeh (2), Jacob Harding. Jacob Fry earned the win in the game with 24 saves.

 

This weekend the Moose will be making their first trip to play the Dells Ducks in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Games times are 7:30PM both Friday and Saturday. Games will be broadcasted on HockeyTv.Com. GO MOOSE!
