The Minnesota Moose hit the road last weekend to take on the Dells Ducks. The Dells Ducks have been one of the top teams in the Midwest for the last 5 years. Coming into this series to the Moose had to maintain their place in the top of the standings with a battle between Wisconsin Riverkings and Minnesota Blue Ox for first place. They did just that with a big sweep over the Dells Ducks on the road.

Friday night the Moose controlled play throughout the night, killed off 8 penalties, scored 3 power play goals and outshot the ducks 50-19 with a shutout from Kevin Hale the Moose won the contest 4-0. Scoring in the game were #12 Taberlet( Harding), #71 Keays( Morrison, Jones), #5 Ackerman(Kelly, Morrison), and #44 Gast(DeSavva, Proeh). Kevin Hale Turned aside 19 shots.

Saturday night the Moose came out and found themselves in some penalty trouble vs the Ducks. A problem that had been consistent throughout the weekend. After a second period goal from Jones, putting the Moose up 1-0 in the game the Ducks answered with 2 goals on 5 on 3 power play goals. The Moose and Dylan Gast decided they wouldn’t roll over and give the game up to the Ducks. Dylan Gast came out at the 16 minute mark in the period and decided to put it in his hands to give the lead to the Moose by scoring 2 goals in one shift, making the tally 3-2 going into the 3rd period. The Moose came out more dominant than they had been all weekend and scored their 4th goal off a great play by DeSavva. Dylan Gast would go on to score his hat trick goal with 30 seconds remaining in the contest. Also receiving assists in the game were Proeh(2), Anderson(2), Morrison, Queary, Harding, and Krasny. Kevin Hale earned his 2nd win of the weekend allowing 2 goals on 17 shots. The moose put up 48 shots against Ducks goalie #30 Corbin Moore.

The Moose record is now 11-3 just 3 points out of first place where the Blue Ox sit. This coming weekend Friday November 3rd and Saturday November 4th the Moose take on the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings who have been at the top of the standings all year to this point. This weekend the Moose will be holding a coat drive for Salvation Army! Please bring a coat to donate and receive $3 off admission. Go MOOSE!
